The start to a new Me!

I am a Mom of three beautiful girls ages 6, 4 and 1. Since having babies I have struggled with my weight and having much motivation to change the way I felt about my self. Over the past several years I have had so many ups and downs when it came to my healthy lifestyle and weight goals. I have had so many thoughts and lessons learned along with some good/ bad experiences with achieving these goals.  I really feel inspired to keep a blog to help remind me of  all these things so I can reflect back when needed.  If you feel so inclined to do so, you may also read the things I post.  Please feel free to leave comments at anytime!

Eleven weeks ago my husband and I decided it was a good idea to get a gym membership.  I needed some motivation and a couple gals in my neighborhood went to a certain gym close to home several mornings each week.  I don't feel like I have many opportunities throughout the day to attend the gym with having two of my little ones at home during the day so I thought if someone was depending on me I would have to get up at 4:55a.m. to join the gym with them.  It turned out to be the one of the best decisions I made.  I have never been a morning person and this has turned out to be the best way to get my exercise in for the day without it taking time away from my family or chores.  For the first two weeks we went three times and every single one of those mornings I wished I could sleep in.  It always hit me about 1:00, that I was extremely tired. I would try to take a power nap in while my little one slept.  I found myself going to bed around nine every night, just so I could feel not so tired each day.  I started to notice after the first two weeks that my energy was starting to increase and the days I went to the gym in the mornings were so much more productive than the others. So since the third week of me having a gym membership I have been faithful with or without motivation from my peers to exercise at least five sometime six days a week.   I have never felt better about myself and my life.  I have so much more confidence, energy and a more positive outlook on life.
